Many know the Route du Soleil on the east side of France toward the Cote d’Azur and Spain and on the west side the Route d’Aquitaine to Bordeaux and Les Landes. Less well known is the region of Limousin, located just above the Dordogne, known for the breed of cattle of the same name.

The Limousin is a region of many aspects. Famous for the porcelain and enamel of Limoges. If you love heritage sites, then the castles route of Richard the Lionheart is a must, with Chateau de Montbrun as a beautiful medieval castle. There are numerous swimming lakes with beautiful beaches, hiking trails, velorails, canoe trips on the Vienne River.

In this region lies Hameau des Chapelles.
